Helen Meyers
President
Helen Meyers is a former classroom teacher and has taught
high school special education and was a first grade teacher
for five years prior to teaching on Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry at Palmetto Health Baptist.
Her education background includes a Bachelor of Science
degree in elementary and special education from Western Illinois
University and a Masters of Education from Southern Illinois
University.
Her work experience outside the classroom includes
the public relations department at Palmetto Health in Columbia
and at
Junior Achievement of Central South Carolina.
Constance Dyson
Program Director
Constance Dyson has an extensive business and accounting
background, having worked as a purchasing agent and
accounting/office manager with several Columbia-area
businesses.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
accountancy from Auburn University and an associate’s degree in
nursing from Southern Union College.
Constance joined the South
Carolina Council on Economic Education in March 2007.
Michele Reap
Communications Coordinator
Before joining SCCEE, Michele Reap worked for South Carolina ETV for 30 years. Her responsibilities ranged from editor of ETV’s monthly program guide, The South Carolina Scene, and advertising manager to national publicist and assistant director of the Publications Department.
In 1991, Michele joined the Outreach Department. She won a grant to create SCETV’s Earth and Us Campaign in 1997. The year-long campaign won the 1997 Best Public Television Outreach Alliance Project. In addition, she wrote and edited outreach materials for the PBS specials, Juggling Work and Family, Critical Condition and Journey to Planet Earth.
Sheneka Tyler
Program Assistant
Sheneka earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business in 2007 from Lander University in Greenwood, SC. She joined the SC Council on Economic Education in July 2008.
