Instilling sound financial responsibility at home
and in the classroom
Jump On It! is designed to instill students in grades K-12 with the financial knowledge they need to use money wisely. Money can’t buy happiness, but it does buy everything else students need to be happy, healthy, successful adults.
What’s included in the Jump On It! initiative:
- Teacher trainings conducted by SCCEE’s highly qualified instructors. Workshops include a review of concepts such as wealth building, the importance of investing in your human capital, and a demonstration of active-learning lesson plans.*
- Standards-based Financial Fitness for Life K-12 curriculum with active learning lessons that help students use an economic way of thinking to make smart financial decisions. The Financial Fitness for Life K-12 curriculum is available in both English and Spanish.*
- Parent programs with brief educational sessions about family discussions on making, saving and spending income.
*Free to schools with 50 percent or more of students on free/reduced lunch program; very modest fees for other schools.
