Merrill Lynch Young Entrepreneurs
Each year, the South Carolina Council on Economic Education and Merrill Lynch
will recognize five middle or high school students who demonstrate a keen entrepreneurial
spirit. These young people have met the challenge of starting their own businesses,
understand the costs and benefits of working for themselves, and are willing
to share their experiences with their peers.

The Rewards Are Sweet
ETV Program
The South Carolina Council on Economic Education and ETV will tape an interview
of each award winner. The interview is part of the ETV Stock Market Program
that is broadcast to schools during fall and spring semesters in conjunction
with the South Carolina Stock Market Game.
The ETV camera crew travels to the winner’s place of
business to tape the interview. The winners share their experience
on self employment to inspire other young people to start businesses
of their own. Click here to read more. |
Awards Banquet
The award winners and their families are invited to the South Carolina Council
on Economic Education’s annual awards banquet in April where a special
video presentation of their interview is shown to more than 250 students,
teachers and parents.
Each award winner receives a $50 cash prize.
